SIMPLEX has been awarded a landmark project — the Gaisa satiksmes vadības tornis (Air Traffic Control Tower) at Riga International Airport. This high-profile development will feature 5,500 m² of SIMPLEX SM façade cassettes, mounted on the proven SIMPLEX carcass system.

The tower, designed to be a modern and functional centerpiece for Latvia’s aviation infrastructure, will rise as a new landmark at the Riga International Airport.

Why SIMPLEX SM?

The SIMPLEX SM cassette system offers:

  • Seamless aesthetics with no visible fixings

  • High durability in challenging weather conditions

  • Precision manufacturing for complex architectural forms

These qualities made it the natural choice for a project where engineering precision and visual impact are equally important.

The Role of the SIMPLEX Carcass

Serving as the structural backbone of the façade, the SIMPLEX carcass system ensures perfect alignment, dimensional stability, and adaptability to the tower’s unique geometry. This flexibility is critical for the building’s height, wind loads, and stringent safety requirements.

A Strategic Milestone

The Air Traffic Control Tower is not just an operational facility — it’s a symbol of Latvia’s aviation progress. SIMPLEX’s involvement in such a high-visibility project reflects the trust placed in our systems for large-scale, technically demanding applications. The finished tower will serve as both a functional hub for air traffic management and a modern architectural statement.
