Cassette size
The maximum panel size depends on the chosen metal sheet material, but typically reaches up to 1900 × 4000 mm.
Size limits by installation direction:
Vertical orientation:
Max width: 1400 mm
Max height: 4000 mm
Horizontal orientation:
Max width: 4000 mm
Max height: 1360 mm
Larger cassettes can be reinforced with bonded profiles or a supporting sub-panel for added structural stability.
Cassette joint widths
-
Vertical joints: Standard profile: 8–25 mm Double profile (if needed): 25–100 mm
-
Horizontal joints: Adjustable between 8–100 mm

Architectural Quality
SIMPLEX SM metal sheet panels are suitable for both minimalist and refined architectural façade designs. With various cassette shapes available (flat, shadowed, conical), a textured 3D façade effect can be easily achieved.
The unique architectural value of SIMPL EX SM panels and frame systems is ensured by:
-
Side folds on each panel edge absorb sheet metal stress without transferring it to the visible surface — ensuring a perfectly smooth, deformation-free finish;
-
SIMPLEX hanging systems allow necessary movement, preventing thermal deformation of the decorative surface;
-
A highly precise mounting system allows for up to 8 mm narrow joints for seamless visual consistency;
-
Panels are delivered with a vertical joint cover profile — all fasteners, including hooks, are hidden.
Usability & Quality
SIMPLEX SM panels are marked during production with an engraved number corresponding to either the manufacturers or client-approved coding system. The number is placed on the panel’s concealed edge and remains readable even when packaged.
Panels are delivered in wooden crates, sealed with a breathable barrier — preventing moisture buildup while allowing condensation to evaporate. For untreated metals exposed to oxidation or hydroxylation, spacers are included to prevent surface damage.
Cassette types
SIMPLEX SM cassettes are available in many shapes and forms, including with perforatio
Cassette materials
The panel base material can be any sheet metal commonly used in architecture, such as galvanized painted steel, aluminum, Corten steel, copper, stainless steel, etc., with a thickness ranging from 0.75 mm to 3 mm.
Factory-painted, high-quality galvanized steel SIMPLEX SM cassettes made from Arcelor Mittal Granite® Standard can be produced using sheet material available in stock according to the color catalogue.
Certifications and test results
SIMPLEX SM cladding panels comply with the EN 14782:2006 standard.
Cassettes made from sheet metal without an organic coating meet fire reaction class A1 – non-combustible. Most cassettes made from materials with an organic paint coating, according to tests conducted by manufacturers, also meet fire reaction class A1 – non-combustible.
Compliance with Enviromental Protection Requirements
SIMPLEX SM panels are made from sheet metal, a fully recyclable and environmentally friendly material. SIMPLEX SM cassettes are available in versions manufactured from high content recycled raw material.
Warranty
SIMPLEX SM metal panels are not exposed to mechanical stress. Their mounting within the SIMPLEX profile system ensures that no deformations occur in the panels, even after multiple expansion-contraction cycles that could otherwise compromise their structure.
The durability of SIMPLEX SM panels against corrosion, chemical exposure, and UV radiation depends on:
-
the parameters of the selected raw material
-
the chosen color and surface finish
-
the required gloss or matte level and its durability
-
the building's location
In most cases, SIMPLEX SM panels are guaranteed to perform without visible changes for at least 30 years.
Standard coating warranties of up to 25 years are available, depending on the confirmation of the above-mentioned factors. A formal application must be submitted prior to order placement to confirm the coating specification.
Packaging and labeling
SIMPLEX SM panels are marked during production with an engraved number corresponding to the part identification code (based on the manufacturers or client’s system). The number is placed on the panel’s concealed edge and remains visible even when packed.
Panels are delivered in wooden crates equipped with a breathable barrier — preventing moisture build-up while allowing condensation to evaporate. For panels without protective film and prone to oxidation or hydroxylation, spacers are included to prevent surface damage.
Packaging is arranged in the planned installation sequence. Each crate includes:
-
final quality inspection for every unit
-
protective foam dividers with at least 8 contact points for large panels
-
panels stacked with coated surfaces facing inward to prevent scratching
-
all identification numbers clearly visible without unpacking
Most crates are marked with the corresponding building section or façade for easy on-site logistics.
Storage beyond 6 months is not recommended, as protective films may become difficult to remove, and panels with natural patina may show unwanted visual changes.
Handling on Site
Manual lifting of crates is not recommended or often not feasible. Mechanical lifting equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and/or hoists should be used. Crates should be stored on a firm base, away from areas prone to water pooling.
If all panels are not removed at once, the remaining units should be kept together with the lid temporarily replaced to ensure protection. The breathable membrane should also be restored. Panels should be lifted by two people holding all four corners and pulled apart gently. Always carry them vertically and use gloves to avoid staining the surfaces.
Delivery – Land Transport
All deliveries (unless stated otherwise) are made via road transport to the project site. Unloading is the client’s responsibility.
Delivery – Sea Freight
Crates fully packed in wood are available for projects requiring sea freight delivery (extra charge applies). Steel containers are also an option. Special loading fees apply.
On-Site Installation Procedure
SIMPLEX SM panels must be installed on a pre-mounted SIMPLEX hook frame. Installation is quick and simple. SIMPLEX provides on-site initial training for:
-
Mounting the frame system
-
Panel dimensioning
-
Panel installation
Cassette Connections & Special Elements
SIMPLEX SM façade cassettes are typically delivered together with the SIMPLEX TRIMBOX — ensuring fast, high-quality connections to windows, doors, and glazed constructions. Our broad expertise in manufacturing technology combined with state-of-the-art equipment allows us to deliver unique architectural elements that enhance the building’s overall function and design.
SIMPLEX can also supply flat metal sheets for custom processing on-site or in local workshops, enabling quick production of various dimensional elements.
